Ugly crying and heart attacks among group of coworkers celebrating joint win By Kate Northrop An office pool consisting of eight company employees from Kentucky are splitting a $200,000 Powerball lottery prize. Eight manufacturing company employees couldn't help but feed off each other's enjoyment when they discovered that their lottery group won $200,000 in Powerball. Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Thanks for the info. It was just my curiosity (and not judgment) about your pool compared to what I am doing (and my plan for a Pool) and nothing more. I read in an earlier post and understand that your organizer had a formula for each member to get 1 Mil on a big win. I think that is a good plan and sounds like it will not cost a fortune to execute. What I am doing *sounds* a bit rich but it really isn't. Since the end of March when PB MM were won back to back and reset to their minimum

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Our pool also did not win anything in yesterday's draw. We have tickets for the next Mega Millions draw. One ticket has a 4 times multiplier. I am hoping the pool manager can buy Powerball tickets in UK giving us a chance to win the jackpot with no taxes to pay. That will make for a huge payout.

Update on 3 years of pick 10 NY
so I won no money today but I'm posting the results of two games on my five dollar ticket where I had five numbers and five numbers one short at least getting $10 but if you take the time to look at it which you don't have to do I'll explain my system as I go along ,the pool of numbers that I pick from the three dollar quick pick pick 10 really gave me a boost besides my pics which are the usual repeat numbers, hot numbers and a cold number so when I'm getting to is, there's a big pool of number

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The pool manager got back to me with an explanation, and I quote: When both the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots are both large enough , the decision on which game to play is based on which of the two games presents the best expected value given the current size of the jackpots. In this case, Powerball clearly presents the higher value. I guess that makes sense. Winning $4 million is clearly life changing. But winning an additional $2 million does not make much more of a differenc

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Good luck when that time comes If I was to ever manage a pool, I would take contributions even when we are not playing, that way when it's time to play, we have a bigger war chest and members don't feel the strain of contributing. I know that would be a logistical nightmare keeping track of all the contributions. I doubt I would want to manage that unless it's a very small pool of say 10 friends.

ideal lottery pool size
I enjoy belonging to a pool since it gives me far more chances to win the lottery than I ever could get playing on my own. I never want to organize one though. I do not want the responsibility nor do I want to hunt people down for payments. The one thing I really like about the one I currently belong to is the fact I do not have to worry about how big it gets since I can buy multiple shares. This way I can control how much I am trying to win. It seems an ideal way to organize a pool.

ideal lottery pool size
Right now am in this weird pool. We never seem to agree what to buy, when to buy, how to buy and how, if we win the jackpot, we are going to split the winnings. And it's just me in the pool. Can you imagine if it's more people than that

Holiday Raffle!
While I was living in New York, I couldn't wait for The PA Millionaire Raffle to be announced in October. It was about an hour's drive over to PA for me to buzz across I-84 and buy them. For multiple years I made many trips to PA. I organized a pool and the pool bought quite a few of them. None of the tickets I bought ever won a dime. On one trip to PA, I bought a bunch and decided to sell them to people I knew. I sold one of the tickets to my brother. (I held them in my hand like a fan , a
