NYS lotto scratch off dirtly little secrets that they do not want you to know about. READ THIS
I think you should go to the newspapers if you have some documentation. (A letter admitting it perhaps) This is big news. And let me add one more question. Who is in charge of destroying the tickets and is it supervised and/or filmed? What are the chances that one or a number of employees got the opportunity to scratch some or all of those tickets and cash them in? You might have just scratched the surface of some major corruption. No wonder they warned their retailers when there was

Should Lottery Commissions Be Obligated To Maintain Your Anonymity?
Does the lottery have the right or duty to maintain anyone's anonymity? This is a tough one, balancing considerations of safety and privacy against transparency and the people's right to know. I would like to remain anonymous as much as anyone if I won the big one but how could we let the lottery have the authority to say somebody won and we're not telling you who? If that wouldn't open the door to corruption by lottery officials I don't know what would. As much as we dislike the idea

N.J. Lottery to end live broadcast of midday drawing
I look at it with a few more shades of gray than this. As the old adage goes, you can tell that a politician is lying by the fact that their lips are moving, but there is lying and then there is lying, corruption, and a complete lack of ethics or guiding principles. (A certain Speaker of the House comes to mind as I type this.) In some areas of the country things are done with a little more civility, and there is a bit more respect paid to a common set of morals. Everyone expects that poli

$42M lottery winner plans to become a pecan farmer
Where on earth have YOU been for the last 5 to 10 years? You need to wake up and start following the daily front-page headlines and lead news stories that have been shouting about the housing bubble and mortgage crises plaguing economies all around the world within the past few weeks and, in connection, destroying the life savings of those not really investment-savvy Americans who weren't even involved in real estate. Clearly there were more than enough Americans, I'd say too many, who saw re

Contract controversy reveals D.C. Lottery's tangled roots
The land marks were always a pleasure to see. Especially if you love America. The US Congress never has a problem spending money on a federal site. It makes them look good to stand in front of them when their picture is taken. But today, some one was shot in the black area of the city. Some one was shot yesterday in the black area of DC. Every time you turn around some one is shot. Yet, the officials spend 98% of their time trying to conficate guns from citizens who don't walk the street kil

Hoosier Lotto in a dry spell
Thats exactly what the want you to believe; yet, Indiana has more powerball winners than anyone. You should stop in any store in Indiana and ask the clerks how many people are happy with the Lottery. I was just in the store this morning and hear, everybody is talking about how screwed up it is . Do you honestly think that sales data is the issue. I think not. I dont care what anyone thinks, a Lottery that has a player population larger than another will have higher amounts of payouts than say

Is the lottery shortchanging schools?? The short answer is HELL NO. But to dig deeper into the issue, everybody knows that the fools, crooks and the clowns in charge are to blame. Hoosier Lottery
I think Jimmy and Floyd are the voices of reason here in this thread and I thank both of them for their rational contributions. I agree that a string of long roll overs in and of itself does not mean a lotto game is rigged. The point that I am trying to make is when you consider everything...a string of long roll overs...non-televised, RNG drawings...a proven history of lottery corruption...(which I have detailed ad nauseum)...a rigged scratch off game (the Foreman scandal)...a game in which

Paranoid or Prudent?
@jarasan <>You are indeed right! I stand corrected. I didn't see that was a free ticket. WOW! Winning a free quick pick and then winning on that quick pick takes even more skill than buying one. And you are correct again.we all know that judges, police, doctors and indeed lottery officials can be corrupt. I simply maintian that when you see all the stories about lottery corruption...across state lines and international boundires...you must begin to question the integrity of lo
