How well do you EXCEL?
I heard about excel I mean it comes with most computers nowadays. Had no idea you could use it for the lottery numbers. Then one day while here on lottery post I saw posts where people were using it to track numbers and write programs. And I went berserk I started dreaming up all kinds of things I'd like to do to try and win money playing the lottery using excel to find the

Macros in excel
I am very, very frustrated about this macro business within excel. I DO NOT understand how to get into the macro section without having to run an imaginary macro-then go in edit it. And even then, I don't know if I am doing it right. I have ordered books that have not arrived yet to teach myself how to make macros. But isn't there an easier way to talk to excel???Why can't I just sort of describe what I want it to do it figure it out for me????

Quote paurths: My software works on MS Access tables. (and connection to SQL-server, but i doubt anyone around here has that...)The problem with access is, it rapidly grows very big, becoming pretty slow.As long as you keep the data ordered there will no problem when you decide to transfer the data between excel and access..Excel has better (faster) calculationfunctions, but access is what it is, a relational database... I have had a great deal of experience with MS SQL 7 while studying for the

Got a few questions here..First let me warn you .. I am computer illiterate or should I say... excel illiterate.People in the past have sent me some info on excel.. and it remains as it was sent.. Did not have clue to what I was suppose to do with it.. question.. is there an excel program I have to have to work with before I can use what is sent? This stupidity of excel had made me forget my other question.. ( or it could be age..)

Quote tntea: I could use some lessons on that... pulling draw data from state websites? anytime... we all owe you big!I never hesitate to give back to the LP community with excel when I can... I learned ALOT about excel here in the forums. there are a bunch of tech-savvy excel wizards on the LP doing some very creative things, and I thank them all for what I have gained skill-wise.
