Ottawa barber, client share $32M lottery win
A Blind Trust is a Trust that you put your money in where you don't want anyone to know that you won a large amount of money or a lottery. You can put the Trust in you and your spouse Initials or a name made up of part of your last name and your wifes maiden name. A Lawyer will explain if you want a Blind Trust what you can and can't do when you put a name on the Trust. I've seen some with Initials of the family members. This way relatives, people wanting money won't know you have it or ho

Lottery win opens doors for N.Y. doorman
He should have claimed his prize via a blind trust, and kept his mouth shut! How to Claim Lottery Winnings Step1 Stay silent for a few days. After the lottery drawing, keep your winning ticket a secret from even your closest loved ones. Before you claim your lottery winnings, act as if nothing had happened so nobody learns your secret. Step2 Think about what you want to do with the money once you receive it. You can daydream about the things you want to buy or think about

NC Lottery question
Should you be lucky enough to win the Powerball in NC, can you claim it with a blind trust or do you have to be identified? I looked at their rules but that left me even more confused. They say they consider your name, address, county, etc to be public record unless the winner produces a valid protective order or Address Confidentiality Program authorization card. What the heck does this mean. I don't mean to be stupid, but it still didn't tell me if I can remain unidentified w/a Blind Trust.

Why the sudden concern with anonymity ?
BLIND TRUST POWERBALL: LA, NH, OK, PA I don't know if Pennsylvania allows anonymity through a blind trust. It's obvious that the other states allow anonymity, because of the numerous anonymous claimants from those states in the past.

Contacting Professionals After You Hit A Multi-Million Dollar Prize!
One of the things that frustrates me is the so-called experts that make statements about claiming the money in a blind trust. Yes, it said, in a perfect world; but we live in the real world. Claiming in a blind trust or any other type of tool that allows you to stay unknown is not an option in most places. While not an expert on the situation, I am aware of only 10 states (KS, MD, ND, DE, SC, LA, NH, OH, OK, PA) that allow a winner to claim as anonymous or in a trust. It is a virtual c

A BLIND TRUST to claim anonymously?
I know a little bit about Blind Trusts from reading a book called The Wall Street Journal's Guide To Personal Finance . It's the same data as stated by Uncle Jim so I won't repeat it again. Now, one can form a Blind Trust and then later on transfer the money from a Blind Trust to your name, another trust, etc... Whatever you want to do. I checked with my state (Illinois) and the winning ticket holder has to take part in a public press conference. I think in only one state (Deleware

$144M Powerball jackpot won in Tennessee claimed by trust
I am glad to see some one(s) from Tennessee able to remain anonymous. It will be interesting to see if the person or persons can maintain their anonymity. If this is the case I will consider buying lottery tickets in TN. Otherwise I will be traveling to one of the states that allows persons in it state to remain anonymous. I think these states allow winners to remain anonymous Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio and South Carolina. This question has been asked several times.

David Lee Edwards Interview tape
David's impulses was always there. The money made him realize his dreams 10 fold. The only way to have stopped David from himself is to put half of the $16 Million that his adviser invested in a blind trust (that he didn't know existed) for 20 years. Let him believe that half of his money was lost in the stock market.
