A $20 ticket for a chance, to win $1 million is steep I agreed with you. I balk at $5 lottery tickets, there's no way I can justify $20 for a chance to win $1 million. I'd honestly rather buy 4 $5 Mega millions tickets(And I absolutely detest $5 Mega millions tickets with every fiber of my being) for a chance to win $496 million than 1 $20 Millionaire raffle ticket.

When 4 tickets in a pool of 500,000 are chosen at random to be a winner, the probability that a single ticket wins is 1 in 125,000 (I'm assuming they exclude a winning ticket from being able to win again, i.e. they do random draws without replacement). It's a straightforward 4/500000, which reduces to 1/125000 by dividing the numerator and denominator by 4. NYL has posted the Million Dollar Raffle results on its website , the app scanner is having difficulties with the tickets so dont trust it, theres a whole PDF spreadsheet with all the winning numbers.
