if you found a winning ticket that wasn't yours
I found a scratch-off ticket worth a dollar outside the store where I buy my tickets and nobody asked me if I bought that ticket. I suppose I could have placed a sign on the bulletin board saying found winning lottery ticket outside store, call xxx-xxx-xxxx , but I didn't want my phone ringing all night. It's not our job to find out who lost the ticket and since is says finding a ticket worth millions the lottery would say where the winning ticket was sold so why not wait a couple of days

Finding Winning Lottery tickets on the ground? :)
Years ago,I found a Lottery Ticket on the ground. It was a Snowman themed game. The game rules were Match Your Numbers to the Winning Number. If you see a Snowman, win prize Snowman is on top. The Snowman was on top of a $2 prize for a $1 ticket. The person assumed they lost because their numbers didn't match any Winning Numbers. They forgot or didn't know that the Snowman was a Winning Symbol. I was happy for the free $2! :D I remember someone saying they found Lottery Tickets on the floor wher

Lottery tickets are bearer documents
What if the ticket was already signed by the original owner - who somehow lost it at say a picnic in a park? If the new ticket bearer were to attempt to cash it- do they end up in jail after legitimately finding it? Another Question: Does the Lottery Commission stress that should a lost ticket be found- that the person in possession of this lost ticket- now RETURN ticket to the lottery Commission?

Went public too soon?
I am inclined to go with the slim and null concept. Some one finding a way to steal the guys ticket, after all the publicity and hoopalah, in a small down, JUST for the purpose of ensuring they did NOT get the money. Slim and Null! Security procedures - booh! There have been several documented cases where tickets have been lost and the peoeple still got their prizes. This the the lottery, not Hanzel Gretel. They do this for a living. It would be interesting to know, how many real-time, vengeful,

Ct. man claims he lost $254M Powerball ticket
That's always made me wonder if you find a ticket on the ground is it then yours the same as when you find a dollar on the ground, and if not, what are you supposed to do with it? I have no idea how many lottery tickets I've cashed through the years, but not once have they asked me to prove I bought the tickets. And the same is true when I found a quarter, dime, nickel, penny, or even a twenty on the ground; we're never asked to prove ownership when spending money. The value of a found or b

Woman found guilty of stealing winning lottery ticket
On the day she allegedly stole a $175,000 winning lottery ticket, Dora Leal was a confused, emotional wreck, mourning the loss of her baby dog Pablo, Leal testified in a Cook County courtroom Tuesday. In fact, Leal's attorney would later tell jurors, Leal was so shaky that had she been working in a nitroglycerine factory, she could have blown up the whole town. If that was a plea for sympathy or an explanation for why Leal didn't realize she held a winning lottery ticket, jurors didn't buy it.

Mystery lottery winner claims $3.8 million jackpot
Michigan law allows lottery winners to remain anonymous, and the man who cashed in a winning WinFall ticket this week took full advantage of it.The man turned in the winning ticket from the April 10, 2004 drawing, which offered a $3.8 million jackpot. He opted to take a lump-sum payment good for $1.4 million after taxes. The man would not let lottery officials identify him publicly or provide his age, hometown or place of employment, said Andi Brancato, a lottery commission spokeswoman. He was a

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
@Dracos I'm down $55 in the past two weeks on scratch offs. My experience with the $25 fortune ticket is in most cases I just break even or maybe a $30 win for a very slight profit. Bought one last week, lost. Bought a $5 monopoly and lost. Today I tried my luck on a $20 flamingo since I had never played it before and lost, then tried the $5 flamingo and lost. I'm through with the lottery. Always lose money or break even. It's really just a waste. You will go broke trying to find that one big wi

Wondering if I should go back to buying scratchers?
Hi everyone, I've mentioned many times how I've cut way back on my lottery spending and have just been playing the draw games like Mass Cash, MM, and Powerball. When I go to my state lottery website it seems that the people who win 1 million (well it's always less if you take the lump sum) tend to win them on the scratch tickets. There will occasionally be someone who will win 2nd prize on the PB and MM. Since the odds of winning a million are far less than the odds of winning 2nd place in PB

my thought on how to win on scratch off
You can not find out who has winning Scratch-it tickets on their rolls. The only the thing the lottery is going to tell you is how many tickets for that game has prizes at certain levels. One roll or pack of tickets is usually between $200 to $300. Your chances of finding a winning ticket on any scratch-it is like trying to find a needle in hay stack. If you read the payouts on one roll off the lottery website it is usually less than half of what the roll cost. I have bought rolls a few tim
