Illinois woman wins $1 million on lottery ticket given to her by another gas station customer
One player's trash is another's treasure
By Kate Northrop
An Illinois woman won $1 million on a Lucky Day Lotto ticket after another gas station customer decided they didn't want it and gave it to her.
An anonymous Illinois woman was not expecting a million dollars to quite literally be handed to her last week, and its thanks to a kind gesture from another nameless gas station customer.
She is shocked that, despite not even having bought a lottery ticket, she is the recipient of

Texas Lotto
I try. Right now laying off some until it gets higher.
I'm making a strong effort to reduce my lottery spending this year. Focusing on reducing debt. I figure I won't be working a part time job past a few more years.
I found an envelope full of Ohio Lotto tickets from 1985 in my garage a couple weeks ago. No idea how or why they got brought all the way down here except they got tossed in with other stuff. That year was my biggest lottery win. If I recall, about $890. 40 years of playin

By Kate Northrop
An Illinois woman woke up to the sound of her crying baby in the middle of the night but found it rather difficult to fall back asleep once she also found out she won a $1.4 million Lucky Day Lotto jackpot.
Every parent knows that tending to a crying infant in the middle of the night is not easy, but what if you woke up to a million dollars too?
This is what happened to one Illinois stay-at-home

Three Calgary friends claim $50M lottery prize after 17 years playing together
Well, if the 9 or 10 people in it were diligent enough to make sure they played it every week even when they went on vacation and had a willing organizer like you. But for which lottery. There is one every night of the week now. I find that difficult for these pool organizers to keep up with these days. Do you play Powerball or Mega Millions or only when it reaches a certain level. What if someone fails to put in and it hits. Do they get to cry in the corner of the office or do the rest of you v

Kentucky woman quits job after winning $90,000 in the lottery
Prize allows winner to reevaluate current job
By Kate Northrop
A Kentucky woman quit her job after scooping up a $90,000 top prize from a scratch-off lottery ticket.
Hopkinsville resident Reshawn Toliver was relieved when a $90,000 lottery prize came her way because it gave her the final push to quit a job that had been making her unhappy.
Earlier this month, Toliver had stopped at the Skyline Fuel in Hopkinsville and decided to pick up five instant tickets from the $5 Wild Cash

$1.3 billion Mega Millions lottery winner's family sues him for not sharing jackpot
It makes a lot of sense. John shared the prize with a girlfriend who wasn't Sara, so the most plausible explanation is that they went halvsies on purchasing some tickets for that drawing. Lotteries split prizes among members of lottery pools all the time, whether it's a pool of 2 or 20.
That girlfriend, whoever she was, probably split from John already. You'd have to be nuts to stay with a guy who is constantly battling with the mother of his child when you have $250 million to do literally

i agree! Well done ineedahit! This is what makes the Ohio forum special and unique..the non posters and watchers get a mixed bag of styles and opinions on how to beat the state from different angles.. I love the group wins..when 80% of all of us are cashing tickets together..so when these type of numbers become overdue I put a emphasis on how I'm playing to show everyone to be aware that day win or lose.. I do a lot of lottery workouts, homework and breakdowns which is awesome but there's a few p

Accidental lottery ticket purchase nets Maryland couple $2 million in Powerball
Wow that's luck! $2mil is $2mil whether by accident or not. Congratulations to the winners.
I don't know if the lottery vending machines here can replay existing tickets. They can accept playslips, but I don't know if they replay. I've had clerks replay tickets a few times, but never tried it with a machine.
I wish them both well and hope they enjoy their winnings.

Accidental lottery ticket purchase nets Maryland couple $2 million in Powerball
Not sure if your comment was directed to me and I don't know what some of your acronyms mean (WOF, IGT etc)
I'm currently in Texas, a huge lotto state and it's shocking how out of shape these machines are and how unreliable they are. I've lost money by the machines double printing tickets either from me pressing the push buttons or using my app QR code. This happens over and over again at multiple machines and I've contacted the lottery and they are very non chalant, we appreciate your feed

$1.33 billion Powerball jackpot won by one ticket sold in Oregon
Based on sales and recalling the fact that every drawing resets the probabilities, the most likely outcome of this particular drawing was that there would be NO winner (nearly 70%). However, most likely doesn't mean guaranteed because of....probability.
You don't need a QP machine conspiracy because every jackpot game has duplicates (losing + winning) due to the random nature of the lottery. You can figure this with the below formula:
When you plug in # tickets sold for this drawing
