That's one reason I use the MD lottery my rewards . Initially I was using it to play the 2nd chance drawings but it also keeps a record of the loss tickets that are entered.

I thought I read somewhere a couple of years ago the federal government also requires a gambling 'journal' showing what you bet/lost/won each day/event. Just found this from IRS To deduct your losses, you must keep an accurate diary or similar record of your gambling winnings and losses and be able to provide receipts, tickets, statements, or other records that show the amount of both your winnings and losses.

For the record these are the numbers I play daily in Pick 4...my birthday and year, daughter birthday and year , husbands birthday and year (same as mine) 0401 1971 1120 2003 1230 4040 my month doubled 4141 my birthday month and day doubled 1111 daughters month doubled 2020 daughters day doubled 3030 husband's day doubled/daughter's year doubled 1212 husbands month doubled 7171 our year doubled All day everyday!!!!
