$1.35 BILLION: Mega Millions jackpot set to deliver unimaginable wealth
Protected with a contract. Think about it. When you buy a lottery ticket at a retailer, you have just entered into a legal contract with a stranger.

Bad Luck Retailer??
Today I had a small winning scratcher and was near a convenience store that I could run in easily without the crowds of the usual places I go to. But then I had this feeling, Oh I don't want to go there because I've never won anything whenever I've bought tickets. I figured that was a while ago, give it another shot! So I went in and traded in my winning plus a few extra bucks for 20 scratchers. There was a guy already there scratching off about several tickets in a row he bought. He showed

Bought $40 in scratch offs
Yeah when it comes to that kind of $ I've only over done a book over time. For example, not long after the new FL $50 500X the Cash game came out I played a book via one of my regular retailer guys...would do 2 to 3 tickets at a time but he kept the book aside for me so that over the course of 6 weeks or so I ended up playing all 30 tickets. With that game the minimum win is $100 and odds for a $500 are 1/48, so odds wise there's a good chance for a $500 in each book. Whelp tbh that book was one

Has anyone ever received a winning lottery check at their job?
And I'm pretty sure that in these sting operations the lottery is targeting retailers that have been the subject of multiple complaints by players. It's not a good use of resources to just randomly sample retailers to check their honesty. There has to be smoke. I think Karentasha should download her lottery's app so she can check her tickets herself and stop worrying so much about getting conned by a shady retailer.

Florida Fantasy-5 Players
Because I was away for four or five days I hadn't checked The Top prize and Retailer Information Report. Today I see that on Oct 5th, a jackpot was won in a Publix located on Route 301 in Parrish. I sometimes shop in that Publix, but that's not why I'm posting. It's the fact that there was another FF5 jackpot winning ticket sold in that store a few months ago. Why wasn't me???? G5

The $29.95 Non-Believerz
Sometimes a bunch of different lottery retailers are clustered within walking distance of each other. Is that the case with the store you usually buy your tickets at? I have a superstition about that too. Also it's not necessarily true that all lottery terminals are the same. If a retailer recently got their equipment fixed or upgraded, that will affect the pseudorandom number generator in the machine that generates quick picks.

I agree Cape. Usually the 1% retailer commission was the only motivation for the smaller lotto retailers to cash tickets. Without commissions, you are going to have to go to Publix/Winn Dixie to claim anything over $10. The only way it will change is if players make a fuss about it and stop playing (unlikely to happen). The $30 FRM and $20 Luck were on the chopping block earlier than recently posted on the Ending Games list. You had to click the hyperlink for each game on the Remaining Prizes to

Would you "bless" the deli?
State Legislators or Congress should take care of this with a new law. Instead of giving the Retailer a Bonus for Selling the winning Jackpot Numbers only, they should get a percentage of every winning ticket they sell. That way they could codify the Entitlement. It is not like there isn t enough money in the game. When you only get about 40% of what they call the Jackpot there is plenty to go around. It might cost the Government a little tax revenue, but they could make that up by placing a sha
