I doubt they will take him to court for that small amount. They could dock his pay if he still works there or get a lien on his home or future new employer salary perhaps. A lien would need a court order but it would far less visible to the general public. Most companies have theft insurance policies as well. I think he would owe taxes on that money.

Ooh yes it does. I would just take it all and put it into 12 month T.Bills at 5.4% PA for a return of 13.7M a year after taxes. I don't need a 47M sprawling house, am ok with a 1M upgrade That is so much money, for real.
