Big Prize Winners on LP
If you notice a lot of what you find here on LP is for pick 3 and 4. These pick games are easier to win vs the big lotteries. Also in many states if you play pick 3 you can cash it at the store tax free. However be aware if your state offers online play where you can play via the states lottery web site instead of going to an outlet to buy a physical ticket.. You will pay taxes on any of your winnings. The big plus of online play is you don't half to think about what you are doing if you have an

Putting your millions in the bank
The FDIC insures each account up to 250,000, so if you don't wanna use about 600 banks, invest most of it in long term treasuries. At least they are free of state income taxes.

It could be beneficial, but it may not necessarily result in a win. Am sure the people that have won billions before taxes when the jackpot is that high they play serious money like they just don't care

Only need one ticket to win. I like the group because I buy in once and the group lasts about 6 months. During the 6 months, I get over one thousand chances to win at least $1 million (after taxes).

What type of lottery winner would you be?
Let s assume that you win big on the lottery, by winning big I assume over 50 million after you have paid all taxes. What type of winner would you be? Would you be the type that wants financial security in the money? Hurray!!! I won 50M but will still drive my 1950 Toyota, live in my 1940 mobile home that I got for 25K. These are the type of winners who don t want to touch the money, all they want is the financial security that the money provides but they don t want to spend even a dime

The Idiot Tax
Ignore the little jack asses that live in your head, they get everything wrong, they say. Doesn't matter where the taxes come from, property, sales, income, lottery, when have you last seen your tax dollars at work? The pot hole is still there, but they added a speed bump. That's about all government is, a bump in the road. BobP Excel at PE if you want to earn a living throwing things.

Interpretations of Wagers Made And PrizeRatio/ Winnings
I guess it depends on what you did with the 4k. If you spent 8k, and the 4k win was subject to taxes, then the profit would be lower than 4k. If the tax was say 1k, then your profit is 3k, and your net loss would be 5k. (8k - net profit of 3k) If you throw the 3k back in and come up dry, then your out of pocket expenses remain -8k, but the total loss is -11k, and only the IRS won the 1 k tax payout.

Putting your millions in the bank
Commercial Banks are THE worst place to put your money..Negotiate special interest rate terms with them...Limit the amont to no more that what the FDIC will refund you , per Account, should the Bank bellyup... US Treasury Bills are alot safer,.. especially when we talking $1.73 Billion...no State Taxes on'em.. But NEVER put all yo eggz in 1 basket..!!

Lotto Jackpot Questions
The Lottery Officials would not and could not by law pay you the jackpot twice. The advertised jackpot amount is a fixed amount. However, they'd probably cut you one check for the full amount of the advertised jackpot (minus taxes) but that's IF you are the sole winner. If you were not the sole winner, then the parimutuel aspect of the game kicks in. If you had either of two winning tickets or two identical lines printed on your ticket then you'd win two thirds of the advertised jackpot amo
