Although it does not narrow things down that much; you can always delete the numbers (20) that came out the prior day and always have enough (10) left over to win the jackpot. As said earlier, one of the only ways I have found to reduce the total universe to 40 numbers, guaranteed every day; is to play all odd/even. Anyone with sense will always weigh the risk against the reward. You're not risking much with a $1 lottery ticket, but wouldn't you prefer to risk it on a bigger reward?
