How do I prove my state lottery's CGNs are fixed?
The 1 year anniversary is on 10-04. If all goes well with work and other home related items, I hope to fill in the blanks.

Unless you discard the assumption that lottery draws are independent dvents, no such pattern exists ... as your signature says quite well.If you are assuming that lottery draws are dependent dvents, I'd love to know more. Although I am dubious, there is a defensible -- to my mind -- argument for the universe being personal, laws being malleable, and so on. I seem to recall that the NY Pick 3 was 911 on the first anniversary of the terrorist attack; to call this coincidental stretches credulity

Using math to develop winning strategies
As most of us know, the lottery was adjusted to thwart all efforts to win by systems. Back when it started, there was a marginal level of player ingenuity which afforded one a slight advantage against the salient odds. Today, that advantage is non-existent. However, there actually IS a formula to maximize your chances of winning: First, you have to stick with a set of numbers that results from this formula. Second, you'll be playing for quite awhile before you win anything. Third, faith is your

Probability related question
D D, I sympathize. I only spend about $4 per week. I buy one ticket for each drawing of the Powerball and the state lottery. I have to drive out of state to get them, so I buy a 15-draw multi-draw ticket once every 7 1/2 weeks. On the days that I buy my tickets, I pick up a few scratchers; my wife likes them, but I admit I'd probably buy a few for myself if she didn't. :) The odds of winning are not good, but they are zero if I don't participate at all; and the difference between good and
