Local DC news---update a minute ago. This Maryland woman is now represented by a big time attorney with Supreme Court credentials. He hinted to expect an announcement tomorrow but said he has not seen the ticket either. Reporters from NY and other places are staked outside her house.

The Connecticut Lottery is adding fuel to the fire by not announcing exactly what store sold the winning ticket. Other States, like NJ, make that announcement right away - don't understand why CT doesn't do the same! They'll only say it was sold in Fairfield County - makes no sense to me!

I think the reason for the delay from the August 4th drawing to the August 8th announcement date is because they have to verify all your information and the winner has to prove that they are in posession of the ticket. Don't throw out any of your tickets that you entered online because you need them for verification if you win.

Mega Millions Increase
WOW!!!!!! I would have thought an announcement and an increase would have been released by now. I could be wrong, but certainly by tomorrow there should be an increase. Maybe they will increase it today, Im just so surprised they havent already increased it!

True that!!!! ALso, the regulations require that the ticket holder get the ticket validated . That is the Key to this lawsuit. The state will counter and remind her and the judge of this. Her case will be dismissed with NO compensation. The newstation will receive a harsh reminder that broadcasting does require accuracy.
