Artist makes some really good points above. Brock Lee also made an interesting point he split the prize with a gf who isn't his baby mama . Db101 added further clarification the most plausible explanation is that they went halvsies (with gf) on purchasing some tickets for that drawing. Lotteries split prizes among members of lottery pools all the time, whether it's a pool of 2 or 20 ..
