They can CANCEL the ticket?!Maybe I am from Mars. :) What if the clerk is a jerk and he canceled the ticket after you left so that he can pocket in the money. Wouldn't that be a nightmare if you get your dream number won, but find out later that the number is canceled and your winning ticket is just a piece of trash?!Is canceling ticket just some special features in certain states or it is everywhere?they can't cancel a megamill

Colorado Lottery cuts $1 million from budget
When Margaret Peggy Gordon took over the troubled Colorado Lottery early this year, she examined every contract and questioned every expense. That effort allowed the agency to cut nearly $1 million from its $22.8 million 2005-06 budget request in an era when many agencies are looking for additional funding from the already tight state budget. We were looking at everything individually, Gordon said. The staff really stepped up and found ways we could spend less and not cut what we're doing in

Mega Millions price change details.
Wow... you're a real nice person. If you would have read the rules on the txlottery.org site instead of posting your own thread in the wrong Forum in the first place maybe I would have seen it... As I said before: Just the Jackpot is $2.00 cost which is the only thing that I GOT WRONG . For 2 lines and you win only if you get all 5 plus megamall. Megaplier is not offered for the Just the Jackpot. (Section A, Line 4) (Subsection I, Just the Jackpot) CORRECTION IS $3.00

Braking the law
Quote: Is it braking the law if any state at any time was known to change the out come of the number's at any time? Yes it's breaking the law if you are implying that the numbers game is/was rigged in some way. If the lottery draws the number 123 for example they cant change the number to some other number they want to.... if the official drawing numbers was 123 then they cant change it to another number after the drawing. Do lottery people make mistakes like put the wrong numbers on th

Can the retailer screw up you winning?

If you buy tickets after the terminal has closed for a drawing it will have the date of the next drawing on it. Multi-States game can not be canceled but if you make out cards for custom picks or buy QPs what can go wrong? If you ask for QPs don't like what comes out then you're stucked. If you buy your ticket a half hour before the drawings you shouldn't have any pro

Illinois Governor denies shifty practices
The Illinois Lottery has shifted advertising from 15 billboards throughout the state to a single billboard in Chicago that is seen by about half as many people but is owned by one of Gov. Rod Blagojevich's major campaign contributors. The Lottery will begin advertising in July on the TriVision, a digital billboard alongside the Kennedy Expressway near North Avenue. The agency will pay $82,000 a month to display a sequence of three Lottery pitches on the billboard, which is seen by an estimated 42

Texas Lottery suspends sales of Monopoly Millionaires' Club game
Just wow! Sharing the same sentiments as others here, I figured the Monopoly Millionaire Club game, in its current incarnation, was doomed ... but never expected a large state, such as Texas, to pull out so soon. Very surprising... However, to digress a bit, Texas is likely extra gun-shy after the near disaster they had with All or Nothing about a year or so ago when a default number combination on the playslips nearly came up - if it had, the prize liability could have been upwards of $100,0

Statistics around the balance of even/odd and small/big numbers
I still haven't seen anything like Four Os and two Es on a playslip. It's easy to understand why that option and many other filters are not on playslips or on any of the machines for clerks to do manually. I doubt anybody would play all the combinations in your Lil Lotto game with 2 even numbers and 3 odd numbers even if the could on one playslip, manually, or fill out their own playslips because there are 194,940 combinations. If a player wanted to add 2 low number and 3 high numbers to

buying lottery tickets
I've seen clerks try to insert slips 5 or 6 times and then watch another clerk clear the machine and the tickets are printed the first time. If the problem is that the right button needed to be pushed it doesn't matter who inserts the slip. OTOH, when the clerk does the same thing each time the slip is inserted, either the button(s) they're pushing only works the last time, or there is some other transient problem with the machine. if the machine is ready to accept a pick-3 bet because
