That's how progressive jackpot games work. You would know this if you worked in a casino like I do.
I've seen a bank of slot machines grow a progressive and then somebody wins and the other players whine that they've dumped a bunch of money into it. Stop whining.

before you tell us the MM is 'Measly' compare the MM and PB jackpots and consider taking a remedial math course.
The measly millions nonsense has been tired for a while already, and MM is growing at about the same per-drawing rate as PB. For their 18th drawings in the current run (as far as PB has gotten so far) PB is offering $115 million (in actual cash) while MM offered $120.4 million.
