Wrong numbers printed in Newspaper?
Quote: Originally posted by bellyache on March 21, 2005I wonder if the people who are suing will get anything out of it.Not if the paper had a disclaimer in the rules about an error in the printed numbers. Those scratch off games are designed to give the losing players the impression that they just missed winning by one number. 13 was never supposed to be among the winning numbers and that is the reason so many players had it on their tickets. I suspect that some people may have picked paper

if you try to go to the source of the graphic (url) it gives a Forbidden error. Find the original graphic (assuming it's online and still there!) and recopy the URL.I wouldn't play NY Lotto unless the jackpot is way up. I think it's 21 mill. The Take5 is a better deal. I just hated when they had a HUGE Mega Millions jackpot they borrowed the NY Lotto and Take 5 machines to draw the numbers! There should be a rule against doing that! When they did my temporary algorithm was Play numbers from L

The Pigskin Challenge for Saturday 01-22-
Aye...there were only a couple of #s hit this week. But you certainly can't get discouraged. At least we have more challengers each week. So in that sense you definitely succeeded because you have spearheaded this effort. If we do see some improvement it probably will be later than sooner. I feel it will definitely take time, involving trial and error, rather than a quick breakthrough. So the game plan has to be to just keep hitting between guard and tackle-a dedicated, relentless effort t

M&M Predictions Tuesday
Ohiopick,You posted some experience you've had with game-out average, but was off between your manual totals and program totals. I have actually spent an average of one hour each working manually on 5 or 6 plays. One of the methods of picking was to use the game-out method to pick.....some numbers. Most of the time I avoid small math errors, however my son will walk-in.....ask if I would pick-up a play for today.....spend 3 seconds writing each number, give me money and be on his way.....He actu

Pa Match 6 Results & Comments
I keep 6 sets of statistics for the Match6,Average Deviation, Mode, Mean, My set of personal lucky numbers (best performing of the set), Standard Deviation, and an unweighted average of the previous 5 stats... I have adjusted them with an error correction factor to bring in the most number of positional hits. The results are 6 picks... I also have a count of how well each has performed by position. I used that list to create a weighted average of the 6 picks... resulting in just one line... wh

The probability it will have one winner is 11%, two winners, 0.6%, and three winners, 0.3%Good luck!I think there is an

Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
Quote: Originally posted by dvdiva on February 05, 2004 i think the likelyhood of it breaking 200 is far more remote. like 5% at most. although in the unlikely avent that happens it would break 200. It would be interesting if you would post the mathematics by which you come to this 5% number since it seems to disagree with the Poisson distribution calculations that I have described here. My calculations BTW seem perfectly reasonable since the Powerball last year exceeded $300 million in spite

Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
The size of the jackpot increases being the same as they were last time, the probability that the Jackpots of both the MegaMillions and the Powerball rolling over in the next drawings is about the same, 90%. This means that there is only roughly a 10% chance that someone somewhere will win either jackpot, and only a 1 in 100 chance that both jackpots will be won on their next drawings. In my last post in this topic, I made an error. There were not 1.5 million doubly covered possibilities. I
