I was surprised to learn about the Act 97 stuff myself. I went looking for info on the Fast Play profitability and ran across that report. You know going in that it's run as a for-profit business, but to learn that they petitioned state congress to reduce the payouts by 5% and got that passed is eye-opening. Haven't looked into how this compares to profit mandates in other states but it does make you think about it. Hopefully next year we actually see noticeable improvements in the scratcher and

If you go to the PA lottery website, there's a More tab all the way to the right. If you select About Us News from the More tab, you can get to a profit report. In glancing through that report, total sales on Fast Play for previous year was $149 million. Overall, they are returning a 20% payout margin, so going from that Fast Play brings them roughly $120 million a year. They keep around 80 cents on every dollar the players spend. I thought I saw a headline about that, too, but now I can't find it. The winners map on the PAlottery site says the biggest recent winner near me was a million dollars on a scratchoff back in August 2019. I see banners up in the places I play for Fast Play winners of $100k or more all the time, but Big Luck has not found me yet. Back in September, I hit for $500 on a Break the Bank scratcher and then $400 twice on P4E later the same week, but in a dry spell since then.

playing these 013, 018, 019, 038, 039, 089, 138, 139, 189, 389 grabbed this when I bought my tickets. congratz to all winners. today wasn't a total waste. I thought I will give one of those fast play that keystone suggested (already won 50$ the other day)so i put a 10$ in the machine than noticed it was 20$, So I just pushed on this 10$ fast play and won 100$.
