Have your Lottery-Playing Habits Changed?
It isn't just the switching over to RNG either. All the tweeking over the years make the games less attractive. Take here in Illinois for example, 7-8 years ago you could buy a lotto ticket for a buck and get two lines in play. Rollovers for each drawing were around 250k, sometimes even 500k. These days you buy a lotto ticket for two bucks and get one line in play. Rollovers are 150k period. (it doesn't matter how large the jackpot rises) Why on earth would I buy the same amount o

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
Saturday, February 11, 2023 Powerball drawing 10 - 23 - 30 - 54 - 65 and 11 And those were the only favorable jackpot winning numbers Saturday night. We shouldn't need a PhD in Math to understand regardless of how many tickets (chances of winning) a player has, there is only one jackpot winning favorable outcome. I only won in one state - South Dakota, bought a lucky for life that matched two numbers for a $3 prize which I bought 3 Lotto America tickets that won nothing It was a great road trip, enjoyed the scenery and the excu

State-by-State Comparison: Scratchers Sales vs PB/MM Sales
I went through every US state lottery's most recent financial report to see how sales of scratchers compare to sales of Powerball and Mega Millions. Some states didn't have granular data available, but where it is available, you can see scratchers out-sell PB/MM by a wide margin. In two states (OR and SD) lottery sales are dominated by video lottery, and scratchers and draw game sales are just a drop in the bucket. Two other states (ND and WY) don't even sell scratchers. In all states, I did not

Quick Picks vs Self Picks, neither has an advantage
A few people in the News Forum asked in the thread about the $1.337 billions MM jackpot asked if the winning ticket was a self pick or a quick pick. Two things I don't get are what difference does it make now that such info. is nor posted anymore and, if people are that curious they have to be on the internet to get to LP, that being the case, how hard is this to do? Quick Pick vs Self Pick Entries When you enter Mega Millions you have two options- choose your own numbers or have a Quic
