Mega Millions jackpots
Based on the info from lotto report OH population is smaller than IL by a few hundred thousand, but they sell more tickets than IL on average. Is looks like simple business... the states that sell the most are rewared with Jp's...I'm not saying that its fixed or anything like that...its just marketing if you market to sell, your efforts will result in more players playing in your state thus giving your state more chances to win. The more your state wins the less marketing you have to do. The com

How to win the Powerball and Mega Millions lottery. Weekly forecast from artificial intelligence
I don't know enough math to build or even understand how an AI lotto predictor works, but I know enough psychology to know that if such a thing exists, its creators wouldn't post a YouTube about it or offer it for free or for sale as software you can download. I also know enough about marketing to know that people will call their lotto software AI powered to sell more copies to the gullible.

Is powerball sandbagging the jackpot?
Only way to know for sure is if it doesn't get hit and the pot jumps to 220. The only real numbers would be at the 200 and 300 million dollar mark. Any push would have to occur around that level if it's for marketing reasons.

Or sales are just down. They sold 33 million at 167 and evidently don't expect more than a 5-9 million dollar jump this time. Sales fell harder than when MM changed it's odds but MM did not change the cash pay outs. Without detailed marketing polls it would be hard to say why sales are down so dramatically but it looks like you might have to revise your execellent probability predictions based on much lower sales.

the blue game
Unfortunately, with a cash-only jackpot game, the jackpots would not grow as fast and therefore would not generate as much sales. Annuitized jackpots are a marketing device.

Powerball Rolls On
It's just a shining example of why they needed to change a long time ago. A big run increases sales for the runs after the big jackpot is hit. If a game stagnates and doesn't have a decent jackpot then it's sales drop due to a lack of interest in the game. Big jackpots are great for marketing and for sales.

My MegaMillions Matrix Suggestion
Yeah, unfortunately, with a cash only jackpot game, the jackpot would not appear to increase as fast as a traditional annuity jackpot. It's all about marketing.
