Odds in winning lower-tier prizes in Mass don't seem to be too bad, at least your games are fairly diverse. If you've seen the California tickets, you'll discover that many of our games are simply duplicates of past games, just with a different color and name (see the $5 and $3 crosswords). Wierd Question
As you can see this is my first post. So, I just turned 18 about 5 months ago. So, I went on a trip to Indiana over the summer and I went to other states. I thought it would be cool to lottery tickets from each state I went to. So, Then I thought why not get tickets from states I went to when I was younger. This is where you help comes in if possible. Hi Chacha33, Now you have got me curious about your scratch tickets in your state. Will have to check out your website for your states lottery. I tend to play locally because it would cost too much in gas to drive too far to get scratch tickets. Though you do bring up a good point about trying to get tickets in a bordering state like Rhode Island or New Hampshire. And New Hampshire doesn't have state taxes like they do in Mass. Mostly East coast, and leaves off the two largest lottery states, but has, excuse me... New Hampshire? You got freakin' New Hampshire but no California and Texas? What can i expect to pay for taxes at tax time. Is it really 28%? New hampshire doesnt take out any tax from the $1000 but they send the irs a w2g form. Thank you for your help :)

Perhaps someone else has experienced this problem when buying lottery scratchers: About a year ago, I was a fairly active buyer of lottery scratchers here in California. I would buy them mostly from a machine at our local market, mainly because I won a $1,000.00 from a scratcher I bought there the year before. I started noticing when a certain person was working in the Customer Service Section of the store, no matter how many scratchers I bought, none of them were winners. I'm talking about $30.
