Vermont legislators push bill to end Vermont Lottery and sports betting
Why do they want to control people playing the lottery? It reminds me of the governor in my state (South Carolina) that doesn't like the lottery but wants the revenue from it. He wants to allow us to buy tickets with cash to increase sales. But won't allow online ticket sales like Georgia or North Carolina or improve the SC lottery like other states. Very regressive and archaic. I hope their constituents vote them out of office.

Todd, Just received an email to my inquiry about online ticket sales in Texas. Texas law prohibits this just as stated on their website. She reiterated this to me. Third parties will, as they said, go into brick and mortar stores and physically buy lottery tickets. Doesn't surprise me though with some of their Austin legislators having negative lottery vibes that it is not offered (yet).

Too many moving parts to consider By Kate Northrop A bill legalizing an online lottery in Indiana will not be considered further, preventing the state from joining several other jurisdictions that already conduct digital ticket sales. Florida residents can now play online!
It is indeed a separate company from the Florida Lottery, but completely licensed and legit (and legal). It is a good company that Lottery Post has vetted. Licensing lottery ticket couriers is a direction that several states have gone, rather than implementing direct online sales themselves. That preserves the physical retailers, while also offering players an online option.

South Dakota launches mobile lottery ticket cashing for some prizes of up to $5,000
The phone scanner on the KY app is about the same as the scanners in stores. They're function is whether a ticket loses or wins and if so for how much. Online winnings under $601 can be withdrawn from your Fun Club account and deposited directly into your bank account usually in a couple of days. They will mail you winnings or over $601 or you can collect at lottery headquarters. Interesting how lotteries seem to be going in different directions; some want online sales, others don't and som
