Something interesting happened in PowerBall last night. The Power Play number was once again 10 which means if you bought the Power Play option and had a winning ticket, your winnings are multiplied by 10. There was another drawing held very recently where 10 was the Power Play number, and I can tell you that the 10X Power Play number has not come out much since it started about five years ago. Not sure how many times 10X has been drawn in the past, but my guess is that it's less than ten times.

My bad.... The 10X Power Play number has appeared 14 times since 6/12/2010 when it was first drawn. There have been 1,375 drawings since that date so you can see 10X doesn't happen much. That's because there is only one 10X ball while there are many 2X, 3X and 5X balls. The fact that it happened twice since 11/26/2022 is unusual.
