NJ man goes on 10-store, 900-ticket lotto theft spree
His shirt and your comment made me laugh. Maybe he was stealing from the store to help restore the shore from one of the ''winning'' stolen tickets..lol New Jersey is a liberal State and he'll get slapped with community service since he was under the influence of marijuana and not thinking clearly when he decided to go on a lotto theft spree. I know people in that State that have done harder crimes and get away with little to no jail time.

NJ man goes on 10-store, 900-ticket lotto theft spree
An alleged lottery ticket thief was not lucky enough to get away with stealing 900 New Jersey Lottery tickets, let alone hit the potential $5 million jackpot, according to police. An investigation led police to arrest Andrew Miller, 20, of Scotch Plains, on Monday, and charge him with a slew of ticket thefts, said Springfield Township Det. Lt. Judd Levenson, the department's spokesman. Miller was found in Scotch Plains on Monday at 12:30 p.m. after Springfield police determined he had sto ...

UPDATE: $15 million winning Florida Lotto ticket expires tonight
This is why I favor a player's card system. More state lotteries should offer the option. The other option is a subscription, if you win a large prize the lottery will contact you, small prizes are credited to your subscription account. Both offer protection against loss or theft of your ticket.

Gas station employee stole $850 in lottery tickets, police said
The title of this article is inaccurate. She didn't steal $850 worth of lottery tickets! It's a surprise to me that she didn't obtain more than $850 in winnings/payments, from the lottery headquarters, from what was probably a lot of scratch off lottery tickets. Regardless, sure not worth a serious theft judgement record that will follow her for the rest of her LONG work life, etc.!

Police official tried to cash in stolen lottery ticket
US should offer player registration systems. It would help players protect their tickets against loss or theft. The state lotteries could also generate additional revenue from such systems. It's a win win situation!

Would you claim your Jackpot winnings through a Trust or Not?
Maybe the best thing to do is wait around 3-4 months to claim your winnings. There is nothing wrong with setting up a Trust. But be very careful as to who you put in charge of that Trust as there are cases of theft involved.

3 face charges in Indiana Lottery scam
Greed, is something . This stack of twenty tickets they steal had exact 15 tickets missing out of it. A complete stack is 50 ticket. Had it been a full stack , another charge of Grand Theft, would been add to this list. I can't wait to see what happen in this case.

Calif. man knew he won $1M but lost the lottery ticket
This is BS, if you are clearly identifiable as the person that bought the ticket and the winner, you should get the money. This should be a good test case for a lawsuit against the lotteries. There are many scenarios where you could lose the ticket through no fault of your own, theft of your wallet, house fire, theft of your car etc. I believe that guy that won in Canada and did not know was notified by the lottery that he won because they had some sort of registration system which is good. ...
