A Florida Senator filed a bill on Monday that would enact harsher penalties on lottery retailer employees who conduct ticket theft schemes and would crack down on those who falsify prize claims.
Florida Senator Corey Simon proposed a bill that tightens up Florida Lottery security measures and targets individuals attempting to steal tickets from their workplace or make false prize claims.

His uncle owns the gas station where the ticket was purchased. Probably the buyer of the winner asked the uncle( owner) to verify the ticket, then he probably told him its a losing ticket, Probably didn't return said ticket then the purchaser reported it stolen . What is puzzling is why this wasn't resolved on October 2 nd the day of the reported theft

I feel like they are down playing the amount of money that was in the machine. These machines carry a minimal amount of cash more like there is a lot in there, but we don't want more machine theft. It does make sense, though.

Writing checks when you know you do not have the money to cover it is theft. A reasonable $35 bounced check fee is reasonable and not predatory.
