My take is that nobody thinks playing a number of tickets makes Powerball easy to win. The issue being argued about is how odds work. I agree, good example. And using that example, some here are saying that the odds of winning in that example would be 1 in 18, because they think you just subtract the number of tickets you purchase from the overall odds. (Which obviously is not the case.) The odds can be expressed as either 2 in 20 or 1 in 10.
