South Carolina lottery winner where are you? $1.5B still unclaimed, and clock is ticking
It was a $1.5 billion jackpot. At that amount even the non lottery players will take a chance and buy a ticket or two. It was one of these non players that didn't know what they were doing, that had the winning ticket and threw it out thinking it was a loser. Just my thought on it...

It also says on the back of any lottery ticket. This ticket is a bearer instrument. Anyone possessing a winning ticket may claim a prize.

Lawyers seek to depose lottery fraud mastermind in prison
Judge Michael Huppert recently granted class-action status to the case, which involves customers who bought losing tickets for roughly 20 drawings between 2005 and 2013 that were allegedly tainted by Tipton's software.
Unless someone saved all their losing tickets from 2005-2013, how are they going to prove who bought losing tickets for the dates in question and who didn't?

Bill to allow lottery winners to remain anonymous passes Virginia Senate
People who win larger or unusual prizes have their photo taken when they accept their winnings. That photo is then released publicly on platforms including Facebook and Twitter.
I'm sure that could be a literal death sentence for some winners. If I had to have my photo taken, they can take one of my backside.
