Odds of Missing digit 8 for 19 draws in P3
Good analysis. You are definitely right by treating this problem as a binomial (Bernouli). Question: Since each digit is independently selected, you are correct, the p(x)=0.1, and p(x' or not x)=0.9 or 1-p(x); and p(xxx)=0.1^3. But since every daily draw is a brand new event independent of the previous day(s), why does it matter if a digit never showed up the day before, or the day before that...and so on? The probability remains the same.. The law of large numbers doesn't lower the probability

Nonlinear regression to predict lotteries
Surely, believers and fans of statistical formulae and methods should be hitting the P3 daily. :)

8 Digits -a problem
How many 8 digit numbers are there that use the digits 0 to 9, with 0 being treated like any other digit (ie it can come in place 1, e.g 01234567) and that all digits are consecutive....?
01234567
01234568
01234569
etc....

Complex Subtraction problem advice
A few stats.
First I am not clear what is behind the 317 list. However in tests on a few states some stats surfaced:
1. A year of draws eliminates less than 1/3 (approx 100) of the list, leaving some 220 numbers
2. Two years eliminates appox 173 leaving approx 144 numbers.

An Exp With RNG-Straight Hits
For this little experiment I used Random.org's excellent Integer RNG generator.
Purpose--to see how a simulated list of 1000 previous drawings compared with an actual state's list of last 1000 draws...
Limitations: I haven't repeated the exp too many times. I suggest more trials...although I suspect the results will not vary much...
RESULTS
1. Approx 150 straight combos remain outstanding after 1000 draws in an actual history. In the random draws the figure was 147...
2. Deflate b

Pairs Probabilities and Entry Points
No math genius but here goes:
What is the percentage or probability of picking 1 boxed pair from one Pick 3 drawing?
Do you mean the P of picking a correct --ie drawn --pair?
1. It's still 1/55!
2. Good question about skips--Remember any one draw utilizes 3 pairs. In 19 draws the full universe of pairs could be potentially drawn! I would start on the 20th game.
3. At this point pairs skips should be compared to digit skips for more effective tracking.
Interesting observa

need a help for probability
I would suggest that you simply reprase the request, saying what you would like to do in simple English. Pls avoid the use of the words probablity probabilities etc.
The way to throw off a mathematician is to use his language when you may not be actually referencing the ideas behind the language.
