To follow up on this, I can state with certainty that there will be an Inspector 5 later this year. It's working in the lab now, and will be released as part of a much larger release to be announced within the next few months. There is a way to automatically clean up formatting in pasted text. Click the Past as Plain Text button, and anything you paste into the box will have the formatting removed. Also, you can set the Paste as Plain Text to be the default setting in the editor in the Account Settings page (Options menu). That's how I personally have it set, so I never need to worry about pasting miscellaneous styles from wherever I am pasting from. If you are looking for a feature that would take a ran

Thanks for posting your suggestion and including examples. That does sounds like a neat way to view threads. Although it does not specifically address your suggestion, another user-focused way to find someone's posts is by using the Daily Topics page. (Available in the Forums menu.) You can use that page to filter by member and see the threads they have posted in on any specific day. It will also help you go directly to the first or last post by that person in each thread on any day.
