NJ lottery winners still receiving welfare, food stamps, audit says
An audit sniffing out fraud in New Jersey's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program detected 66 lottery winners who were perhaps too lucky. They were all welfare and food stamps beneficiaries who had each won more than $10,000, including one person who had been collecting $1,000 a week from the Win for Life scratch-off game prior to 2009. Wisconsin man's two winning lotto tickets said to be "misprints"
Includes video report Ivory Mitchell thought he had two $1,000 dollar winning crossword scratch tickets back on July 20th. When he tried to cash them in, he was told there was an error and that the tickets were misprints. He thinks the Wisconsin Lottery should pay up for a mistake they made. Printing error causes new Pa. Lottery ticket coupons to be issued
Pennsylvania Lottery players who tried to use some of the lottery's coupons that arrived in the mail or in the newspaper in late April or earlier this month learned that they were about as good as a losing lottery ticket. Western Canada Lottery glitch causes ticket errors
The Western Canadian Lottery Corporation (WCLC) is advising customers to recheck their tickets following a system problem.
