The Kentucky Lottery Corp. board voted Tuesday to approve Gov. Matt Bevin's appointment of Tom Delacenserie as the new president and CEO of the state's lottery. He has been CEO and secretary of the Florida Lottery since November 2015 and fills a post that has been vacant for nearly a year following the retirement and subsequent unexpected death of longtime Kentucky Lottery CEO Arch Gleason. A New York man and his 49-year-old mother have pleaded guilty in the slaying of a man who was killed over a winning scratch-off lottery ticket. Suspect accused of murdering lottery winner escapes from Georgia prison
One of the people charged with murdering a Georgia Lottery winner has escaped from a south Georgia prison, authorities say. Earnest Anthony Holcomb, 28, got away from the Ben Hill County facility about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sheriff Bobby McLemore said.
