$447.8 million winning Powerball lottery ticket sold in California

A single winning Powerball lottery ticket matching all six numbers was sold in California and will claim a $447.8 million jackpot.
If the winner chooses the lump-sum cash value, they will receive a one-time cash payment of $279.1 million, minus federal taxes. California does not deduct any state taxes from lottery prizes.

By Saturday evening, the multi-state Powerball lottery jackpot will almost certainly become the largest US lottery jackpot since the game's monstrous $1.6 billion record in Jan. 2016.

Idaho Lottery announces St. Patrick's Day Raffle winners
(One month after St. Patrick's Day)
Idaho Lottery officials on Wednesday announced the winning ticket numbers for the St. Patrick's Day Raffle, including the $100,000 top prize.
The raffle, which sold out its 50,000 available tickets in just 22 days, features a total of more than 6,800 winning ticket numbers, the most ever awarded by any of the Lottery's raffle games, officials said.

Lottery-winner secrecy bill dies in Idaho Senate
An Idaho Senate panel has killed legislation that would have allowed lottery winners to hide their identities.
The Senate State Affairs Committee on Wednesday voted 8-1 to halt the measure that would have kept the names of individuals who win $600 or more secret.

One ticket sold in Indiana wins $435 million Powerball jackpot

One ticket sold in the Hoosier State won Wednesday's $435.3 million Powerball lottery jackpot, which had been accumulating for 18 consecutive draws without a winner.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Super Test at 1609 Sagamore Parkway South, in Lafayette. Lafayette is about 60 miles northwest of Indianapolis.
