Patience paid off last week as police nabbed a man they believe used the guise of lottery winnings to scam people out of thousands of dollars. Ohio winner chooses cash option The mystery of who won the $265 million Mega Millions drawing April 18 remains, but the money has been claimed. Todd A. Marjorie Givens thought she hit the jackpot last month when she realized her Mega Millions ticket was worth $250,000. She matched five numbers but missed the Mega Ball. Her second-prize payout was half that of a California resident who played the same five numbers - 27, 36, 43, 49 and 54 - and also missed the Mega Ball on the same night in the same drawing. Winning Mega Millions lottery ticket sold in Cincinnati
The winning ticket from the $265 million Mega Millions drawing Tuesday night was sold at a local Kroger supermarket, an Ohio Lottery spokeswoman said. The winner of the Feb. 1 Lot 'O Play drawing has stepped forward to claim the $10.6 million prize. A trust officer filed a claim on behalf of the ticket holder Friday afternoon.
