Two Ohio men appeared in County Municipal Court Eastern Area Division Thursday accused in the connection of theft of items from Akenheads Dairy, including 395 lottery tickets.Adam Lee Coburn, 19, 137 N. A Ohio woman accused of altering a lottery ticket to claim a $25,000 prize went on trial yesterday, with both sides agreeing that the ticket shown to jurors was a poor fake.Brenda Alexander of Elyria could face up to 12 months in prison and a $2,500 fine if she is found guilty of one count each of forgery and attempted theft. Court Orders City To Return Couple’s Tax On Lottery Winnings
Ohios highest court says one Northeast Ohio city cant tax lottery winnings under its current law.The Ohio Supreme Court ruled 7-0 Wednesday in favor of a Euclid couple that was ordered to pay $102,000 after winning $3.5 million in the Ohio Lottery in 1998.
