I plan on thinking about what I would buy after I win. Sure I dream about how my life would change if I win but they are just dreams. But before buying anything major, I would make sure I have a good financial advisor and a better future ahead of me.

it all depends on what i would do after i won that jackpot. for example, if i got a reality show after i win a jackpot, then no. i would not. if i did not get a reality show, and the jackpot was not too big, i would keep playing.

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

i'd try to live the same, with exception being a reality show.

If I bought a house, I'd probably take the prize as an annuity.  If I take the cash equivalent, the prize would be reduced by two-thirds after taxes.  Over the course of a 30-year annuity, deductions and exemptions for the house and the family would shelter about 1 1/2 to 2 million dollars of the annuity from further taxes.

                    This is an easy one.

I'd buy certificates of deposit, commercial mortgage bonds, a buttload of Microsoft (I'm not sure how much that would be, exactly), Coca-Cola (the stock, I mean, not just a 12-pack), commercially-zoned undeveloped real estate, tax-free municipal and government bonds and, if I had anything left over, maybe a candy bar or a pack of gum.

Wait... If I won a big jackpot, I would... yes, I'd throw caution to the wind, and I'd buy a candy bar and a pack of gum... from the same store (you know, to spread the wealth a little...).

Come, Pinky; we must prepare for tomorrow night...

Yea those Vettes are crazy-fast. My friend borrowed his boss' Vette (back then a new 97), and I asked for a ride. All I can say is sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!

If it were a sizeable jackpot, a new SUV and condo would top the list.  Then invest the remainder somewhat safely and use the income to live a slightly higher lifestyle.  I would not go hog wild.  I want the money to last!

It would depend on the size of the jackpot....say 250,000 dollars..that would help pay the credit cards off and put some money down on a nice house and use the  money to fix up the house "just the way I wanted it". OH!  "Been there , done that"  Twice !!

Looking forward to doing it again.
