The 2-digit repeat has skipped 45 times in a row. Very, very unusual for that to happen in California. Here is my chart showing skips between 2-digit repeats:

Going back to November of 2002 when California started the twice a day drawings for Pick 3, there were only 2 times that the 2-digit repeat skipped a long time. It skipped 41 times in June of 2004 and 55 times in December of 2002.
This is a good example of why it doesn't pay to chase a number or situation. Even if you had waited for this situation to skip 30 times before starting, you would have already played 15 times and lost every time. To insure a win, you have to play all 28 numbers as a box, which means that at $1 each, you have already spent $420. You can not make it up even at . The most they pay for a $1 box is for a double and that is $300! So, it may work sometimes, but not all the time and once you start it, you can not stop (unless you run out of money). Why would you stop after you lost $420? You might win on a double the next draw!!!!! LOL
But that is the thinking of gamblers and you will see it put forth on this forum because there are a number of gamblers on here. I'm a gambler, but I have learned my lessons over the years with gambling on card games and more recently Lottery. I feel sorry for those gamblers that have not learned their lessons in life, yet. It can be very expensive. That's why when I teach people how to win at Blackjack, one of my rules is to take $300 in cash and no checkbook or credit cards, ATM cards, debit cards......etc. Ask most people that go to casinos to play and you will find that they do NOT follow that advice and they lose a LOT of money. I know one lady and her husband that lost $150,000 in one year playing slot machines at a local Indian Reservation Casino. But they always thought that the big one would hit on the next pull!!! Very, very sad.
OK, off my soap box now!!
