This may have already been discussed here...I don't know, because I mostly go to the Pick 3 forum.  So, if it has....I'm sorry.

Here goes:  IS  TEXAS  THE  ONLY  STATE, HAVING A JACKPOT (LOTTO) GAME WITH A BONUS BALL, THAT  DOESN'T PAY A THING FOR THE BONUS BALL ONLY?

Just curious if we (TX) are the only state, or does another also not pay for the bonus only?

Thanks

MollyG

p.s. Again, my appologies if this has already been mentioned.

i don't think KS pays out on just their bonus ball.

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

      Thanks!

In my opinion:  That's pretty sorry.

That's currently the largest jackpot in the U.S.

One of my two states, Illinois, currently has the sdventh largest jackpot - The Illinois Lotto is currently $12.5 million.

FL Mega Money also didn't give out prizes for matching only the bonus ball. But they have changed it so one can win with only the Mega Ball (whose name predates the Mega # in CA Super Lotto, and Mega Millions)

It MAY sound good, but it took 27 draws to get that far.  Saturday night will be the 28th draw.
Here's how Texans are showing their 'gratitude':

              Lotto Texas Sales
(Comparing First 179 Draws in Each Matrix)
              - 6/50 -
              $1,811,270,962
              - 6/54 -
              $1,101,228,667
              - 5/44 -
              $755,091,491

TLC has changed it so much (trying to make a buck) and their sales have fallen big-time, and they still don't have a clue......

Yeah, and the Illinois Lotto rolled 19 times to get to where it is now.

Geeez...that IS bad.  With the end of 19 draws ours (TX) was 32M.  I still think it Stinks, though.

It took eight rollovers for the cheapo (lower prizes) NY Lotto to reach $19 million...

Well, Lotto Texas is competing head-to-head with Mega Millions (with Megaplier), which is structured the same (Pick 5 then 1 more), but is easier to win and has bigger jackpots. Maybe they should try to distance Lotto TX from Mega Millions by going back to 6/50 (call it Classic Lotto Texas). You gotta have variety in the kind of games you offer. A simple difference in payout won't make much of a difference.

Well, you get 2 plays for a buck, so it's cheapo in the other respect as well.

                          Texas has:

                          Pick 3 = 2/daily

                          Cash 5 = daily

                          2-Step= 4/1....pays $5.00 for bonus (only)

                          Lotto Texas....stinks

                          MegaMillion...you know this

So, 3 of our games have a Bonus and 2 pay SOMETHING for the bonus.

NY had a special game, "Millennium Millions" in 1999 and 2000 which cost $2 per play; you lost if you matched only the millennium ball.
