Friends:
As many questions that are being asked by different ones throughout the day and night. What if we had a "Chat" Line at LP to be able to "Chat" with different LP Members regarding different topics?
Todd, is this type of thing feasable here?

It is feasible, and I've thought about it. There are several reasons why I have not done it, and I've posted some threads on it a few times. We've had polls also. It may happen someday, I'm not sure.

I'm against the idea. I think chat would reduce the value of posts.

It wouldn't take away from "Posts." Those who would to "Post" could still do so. The "value" wouldn't be reduced at all. It would give thos who wanted to "Chat" to be able to discuss a question or topic right then and there, and it would be "much" quicker getting an answer to ones question or ideas.

There would be less misunderstandings... and when their were.....they would be more easily worked through. Subtle Tone ,...intonation , undulation ...that's the ticket. Nice to have.....at least as an option . Meet me in the chat room ...and i will go into this further...LOL
It would be great to invite guest speakers to the forum ...like the head of the statistics dept. at Ga. Tech ....yeah! Lottery software mfg's ...etc. Authors of lottery books.... whoa ! They probably would accept invitations more readily.

Those things all happen on the forums, so I don't understand the difference, other than the fact that all the chat history gets lost. Forums history lives on and is searchable.

I'm just saying that a guest speaker would be fine, but I don't understand how having a guest speaker on a free-for-all chat room with no stored history would be better than the forums.
I am a member of other forums that have guest speakers, and they're never in a chat room (for those reasons).

Messengers have the ability to plug in a microphone, talk and also have an open webcam so those who want a chat line might consider that possibility.

I think that would be "GREAT." If possible, how could we make it on an "off" day of the MM & PB Drawings. That way, we would have a chance to talk about our ideas before the next drawing?
I think most of us would like a little time to "Chat" plan our numbers before we go buy them.

I think the chat would be popular especially while people are waiting for drawing results. A java chat client would probably work the best.
