I buy them at gas stations.  And, I try to go to the smaller places because if i do hit it big, i'd prefer that the 100,000 retalier bonus go to some small business than a huge corporation.

Well there's 3 for me.  convience stores, liquor stores, and tobacco stores...but more so at convenience stores.  I've never heard of a winning powerball ticket being sold at Kroger #345 in Indianapolis.  =)

And I've never heard of a $200 million winner taking the annuity.

I buy lottery tickets at convience stores, gas stations and the drug stores. I would like to see the clerks at the stores get a good prize for selling the winning tickets.

Almost always at convenience stores. But now I'll go to a supermarket to cash a $100+ winner.

a gas station never has enough to pay on tickets that are over a hundred dollars.....

I get my tickets at the liquor store so I can get something to sedate myself with after the drawing.

A $200 million winner that takes cash would therefore become a $100 million winner. If you take annuity on the other hand, you'll only win $5 million (after taxes approx.), but you'll get the same amount 29 more times.
