you all asked. How do they get all your information --- know so much about you.
Almost every instution especially banks or people who deal with money. When you give your name date of birth and address they can usually open all your personal information from that ie your social security numbers is on file with all three major credit bureaus. Many times when you buy something from sears kmart etc. and use your credit card they sell this information about you.
Every year you get some kind of privacy statement from these credit card holders and they explain that. >>>> It is up to you to ask all your crditors not to give out your personal information. When you apply for credit like buying a car or house any major appliance. They have your social security number and run it with all major credit breaus who also sometimes sell your information.
Ever bought a car on credit and then three weeks later receive tons of junk mail from every imaginable place of buisness. Yep you guessed it the dealership sold your personal information to advertisers. Again you have to protect yourself by asking to be dropped from all mailing lists and request that your personal information not be sold. Sad part about this is once they got it your in the system and they swap these files back and forth. It could take years to fade from there files. And only after you make written request to be dropped from mailing lists.
How do they know about your friends or relatives. When you apply for a job or credit you are asked to put three references on your paper work. They track there names and addresses right along with yours and know everything about them also.
