I really don't know what else I can tell you except that the tickets you see in my post are the ones that have been posted so far for today's draw..The number of tickets and the combinations will be listed on the board when the draw is closed at 6 pm tonight..Until I know how many more tickets were submitted I cannot tell you how many tickets with those combo's will be purchased..

I can give you an example from last week..$110.00 was put in the pool and 56 tickets of various combininations were purchased and then posted on the board before draw time..I was also skeptical at first until I talked I contacted OLGC to check out the site...They informed me that the owner of this site does NOT make any money when buying the tickets on behalf of the group....He is certified to accept the money on behalf of anyone who wants to be part of a pool..All the money is then put into tickets for that particular night's draw..

Now if we should win he would get only the same amount as anyone who sells lottery tickets..Like if you were to go into a store to purchase say 5 - 649 tickets, you would pay that store owner $10 in return for your tickets..Now if one of those tickets happens to win whether it be a large amount or a small one the owner of that store will receive his 3 % of what OLGC pays out in prizes....I believe that's what the rate is right now..It is no different then going into a pool with a bunch of your co-workers..I hope that explains what you wanted to know..Other then that you will have to join the group if only to see for yourself how it is operated..Like I said..OLGC treats the owner of this group the same as anyone else that is licensed to sell lottery tickets and as I've said before I am told that  they keep very STRICT reigns on it..

    Rainbow,

You certainly do not make it very clear. That is why I am suspicious. For example, you wrote that $110 was put in the pool and 56 tickets were bought. It cost $112 to buy 56 Lotto 649 tickets. Where did the extra $2 come from?

You also wrote that the pool organizer is a lottery retailer and is making money on the 3% redemption. I checked with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and they confirmed that retailers get 3% of redemptions. But retailers are limited on the size of prize they can redeem. Most can only redeem prizes up to $300 and some can redeem up to $990. No retailer can redeem over $990 because of the Family Responsibility legislation that requires prizes of $1000 or more to be paid out only after ensuring the winner does not have any child or spouse support payments outstanding. These prizes are only paid directly by the lottery corporation.

Now lottery retailers do get 5% of sales. Maybe this is where the organizer hopes to profit. But nowhere on the website are any costs discussed or explained.

    Good luck,
    Jake

At this point you have me a little puzzled..I only mentioned this site as I found it to be one of the better sites where someone can go as a reference point to check out stats that pertain to the 649 lottery but for some reason you seem persistant in trying to convince me that this group is not "up front" in providing the information you seem so desperately to want..It is a fact that OLGC does overview this site and until such time as they give me cause not to to trust them I will continue to use their program to access stats and/or to play as a group member..As I previously suggested if you feel you need answers to how the group is operated then you are more then welcome to check out their website..If at that point you are not satisfied there is a contact address that is provided on the site itself..It has been my past experience that when I contacted the owner through this address he did not hesitate in answering any questions I had..In fact he was kind enough to contact me via phone to further satisfy my curiousity..
