There are people out there who won't spend a buck to play Powerball when the Jackpot is $200 million+. You think they will spend $2 to play?????? Raising the price of a ticket is definitely NOT the way to go.

It is just not fair, In my state they say "EVERYONE" is winning ???

Oh please- you count 3 dollers and 7 dollers as winners??

One day it might come true.

Yeah, they should only count as "winning" anyone who wins the jackpot or the $100,000 prize!

I don't care if someone in WA state wins. I want to win. If I just have loosing tickets I don't care if every winner is from somewhere else. Other than family it would be better someone on this board wins than a total stranger.

So if rjoh wins out in Ohio or kbcherokee wins over in Virginia or any one else here wins that would be better than some stranger even in my own state.

          Come on guys.

You know they are going to do this all the time.

I wrote once on a thread about what theyd id to me.

I took this out of the Mega Money Listing here in Florida.

          06/11/99        32-08-27-17  23        1/12
          06/08/99        05-12-15-17  21        1/10
          06/04/99        16-07-13-11  22        3/6
          06/01/99        24-06-26-22  31        2/7
**The original MEGA MONEY game began 2/25/98 and ended 6/24/98**
          06/24/98        12-31-24-04  28        3/12
          06/17/98        28-31-24-14  03        3/11
          06/10/98        10-24-15-23  09        2/2
          06/03/98        27-25-22-06  08        2/5
          05/27/98        32-21-26-05  28        1/2
          05/20/98        01-03-27-32  24        3/4
          05/13/98        27-08-01-16  31        1/5
          05/06/98        32-31-25-18  16        2/12
          04/29/98        32-14-15-28  18        1/13
          04/22/98        12-10-16-26  04        2/3

I did it because you see that they stopped it for a while.  Well I had them on the run from the beggining and they changed it on me.. and now forget it...  You can't guess any numbers hardly.

In other words, "DON'T FEEL LEFT OUT"..  "THEY DID IT TO ME, THEY WILL DO IT TO YOU".

I hate it when they do that.  But hey, if they did not do that they would loose too much money and we would have NO GAME TO PLAY.. so F _ _ K IT.. let them do it.

Sorry for you guys that think its hard now and harder later, but if I was a casino and you are the gambler, who do you think I will look out for?

          You got it...  "ME"!

          Ok.. for now..

And for those waiting for PEPITO3.. still in the making.. have been repairing some stuff in my computer and is taking me longer than I planned so please be paitent... you will get it.

Thank you all and have a great day.

To play is not to win, but to win keeps you playing..

I don't think Powerball will ever get rid of the Match 5 Bonus pool.  I've e-mailed them about the possible matrix change and also asked why they had the Match 5 Bonus pool, and this is what they said:

The articles I read said decreasing the chances of winning.  Meaning, making the
            odds higher.

At any rate the article was a little simplistic.  We need to look designing a
game that the players want to play.  That is what we will try to design.

There are good reasons for a rule that will slow the growth of record jackpots.
Lots of people in this country will only play for a "record".  If, next year, we
jump to $700 million, then we've lost the chance to have records at $400
million; $425 million; $500 million, etc.

Plus, we estimate that we should pay out $1 million to about 100 people when we
get into the limited situation.  That will also make some news.

There is no reason to slow jackpots. The sales from a mega jackpot is really what these games are all about. It's just the old, pathetic attitude that you shouldn't really be rich and people shouldn't have "too much" money. Megamillions at least got that right and when they fix their game it will replace powerball in sales.

Maybe they just (wrongly, by your figuring) think a lot of people would be tickled pea-green to win $100K.  Maybe they actually think there are enough of those people to offset the others who don't buy tickets unless the pots get enormous and they can can hope to be Bill Gatses, rather than just have a major windfall in their lives.  Yeah, that's pathetic, all rightee.  A lot of people winning what to them is quite a lot, instead of a few people winning a trip to mars is definitely something to scoff at.
