The Pigskin Challenge: POWERBALL 4-6-05

\$12,000,000.00

1. The object of The Pigskin Challenge is to correctly identify all the  numbers to be drawn in the Powerball game.

2. No more than ten number selections may be used to predict the numbers from the 5/53 matrix.

3. No more than three number selections from the 1/42 matrix  may be used to predict the red PowerBall.

You may specify one number from your picks in each matrix as most likely to hit . Just be sure to make it perfectly clear which one number you are selecting as most likely to hit in each matrix. There's no penalty if you don't specify any most likely numbers. It's simply an attempt to get a little better read on how well our systems are working as opposed to having our numbers come up by pure chance.

This is all done with an eye toward helping us improve the accuracy and consistency of our prediction skills. Hopefully, it will also help us find a way to crack this PowerBall game.

The 'skindex rating system will be applied to all valid entries for purposes of evaluation and comparision of our efforts. The maximum possible score is 100 points.

Good luck to all Challengers,

Aye, do you think it's possible that the PB BigWigs have become intimidated by the relentless perseverance of the Pigskin Challengers to cash in on a jackpot and felt that they had no choice but to raise the odds by adding several white balls?

pigskin,

We Challengers have been covering the numbers pretty well lately. Maybe there are lurkers on the site who've been harvesting our number selections. JAG331 pointed out a few weeks ago that the PowerBall jackpot started getting hit quite regularly right about the same time that The Pigskin Challenge started. Even when our numbers haven't been so good, at least we've been showing people which numbers not to play. I just wish that one of us could strike it rich.

I really doubt that we've stricken fear in the hearts of MUSL officials, but I hate to see them change the game. The odds will be even harder to beat and all the white ball matrix history will be wiped out. I guess I'll generate my own 5/55 Quick Picks and handicap the red PowerBall. Personally, I don't see any need to change the game. Ten million dollars would make me about as happy as I could stand to be. Just look at all the millionaires that the PowerBall game has made in recent months while the MM game has had only a few. I might just quit playing PowerBall altogether and only play Hoosier Lotto and LOTTO South.

Good luck,
