I'm sure this happens a lot - s***bag store owner or employee tells person they won a few bucks, then cashes in a big winner.  Before you check a ticket that looks like a big winner, make a copy of it. Or better yet, go to a lottery office to do it.

If people signed their tickets, even the $1 winners and losers, they may have to pay some extra taxes, but they reduce their risk of getting ripped off.  If the ticket is signed and thrown into  the trash and later found to be a winner, it belongs to the signer.

I always make sure they give me the amount that I won.  If I ever have tickets I'm checking I always get those tickets back after they are checked just in case.

How are you going to win if you don't play?

Wonder what's gonna happen to him when his fellow inmates learn he is serving time for stealing a lottery ticket...reckon he will become the new boy toy???...guess in a way, justice can prevail.
