Does Powerball have a maximum rollover? Is it 25 million? I heard somewhere that it did, but I can't remember where I heard it.

You can read about it at: http://www.powerball.com/powerball/pb_prizes.asp

    Match 5 Bonus Prize

Whenever the Powerball jackpot reaches a record level, the amount of the jackpot prize is limited to increases for each draw of no more than $25 million. The prize money collected in excess of the advertised jackpot amount, plus the maximum $25 million increase, will be placed into the Match 5 Bonus prize pool and will accumulate until there is a jackpot winner. When there is a jackpot winner, the Match 5 Bonus prize pool will be divided equally among all winners of the Match 5 prize. The prize will be paid in one cash lump sum.

Note:* Since this rule was created the jackpot has never reached the record level set in December of 2003.

There is no maximum rollover until the jackpot gets to a record level.

Has this ever happened, and if so do you know how much each player got. On a 300 million jp each second tier player could get over a million dollars it would seem. That's a pretty neat idea but it probably should be atleast 50 million. The bigger the jackpot the more people play, most people play to win not get second but if you did get second you would be happy.

Yes, you're right the rollover should be a bit higher...

          No it's never happened.
