man am i ever eating up the fact that it is way more "difficult" to win the MEGA via the new matrix change.

i absolutely love it when the odds are stacked against me.  the longer the odds,  the more obvious where the "results" have come from.

they might as well have made it 1 : 175 billion.  a bit diasppointed it is only  1 : 175 million.  but i will always work with what i got.

and draw history?    draw  history means nothing to a person armed with a $1 quick pick who is "meant to".

i know, i always am a bit redundant about this.  but the day will come when redundant ......becomes de rigeur.

      Vision,

Are you still in CA?  If so, that really something that MM is following you there!

As always, I would have quick picked it.  However, I am not playing since it appears Powerball has rolled again, and therefore, continues to have the larger jackpot for now.

grew up in california, but moved to atlanta and lived there for 7 years.

just moved back to california about a year ago.

could it be a "co-ink-ka-dink" that i moved back here, and that there is no state income tax here instead of the 6% in GA?    i dunno.  time will tell.

i was looking at that beautiful page you put up at USA MEGA that showed an approximate  $1  1/2 million AFTER TAX difference in the "jack" between living in CAL  vs.  GA for just the recent jackpot.    i think  i actually got a tear in my eye.

now i am not a greedy guy,  but an extra 6% jack in the wallet sounds pretty good.  plus it adds to the cool factor, as far as how/why God leads my life.

i just go along for the ride.  whether thats a roller coaster,  or the autobahn.

Both, a mix of my own picks and quick picks. That is, when I actually play. I doubt I'll make it to New Jersey for Friday. But the 2nd draw (and the first 56/46 draw in Atlanta), I'll have no problem with seeing I'll be in Virginia.

I played 2 separate QP's in IL but don't think I will play unless the jackpot is higher than 100 mil. I don't like the tripler promotion. It only triples the lower tier prizes $2 - 10 but I do like the fact that I didn't have to pay a extra dollar for it. I see GA is giving 1 QP for every 5 your spend on it.

I love doubles and remember, it's just a game!!!!!!

Hey Vision, That is something I hadn't thought about. When I move to Alaska, I will have to be playing in Washington State and there is no state income tax there on lottery winnings either. Maybe I should just wait until I get up there to play. Nah! I'll just keep playing each draw until I go. You never know what good things could happen. -Bonnie

Oh and for the thread question. I always use my own picks + 1 quik pick.

                  bonnnnnnnnieeeeeeeee,

you should be able to do one or both of these things when you move to alaska and play in washington state.

you probably can either purchase a 10 advance play card, or maybe even a yearly prescription.  (see if the washington state lottery page says anything about it)

that way you are not throwing your money at just one shot.

if  you are "meant to",  it probably makes more sense to throw (1) combination for 10 advance draws or (1) combination for every draw for a year,  then it does multiple combinations for (1) draw.

just a suggestion (as your "vision" can certainly vary from mine - lol)

I gotta go with QP because my pick produced 0 numbers in this current draw.

Just one $1 QP.  That is all it takes to win, so that is all I need to play.  Plus as visiondude says, with just one QP, then people will know from where the blessings have come!

I still choose my numbers, and play the same ones for each drawing.

My dad and I mainly picks our own numbers in both MM and California SLP. I gotta go with QP if I have to.

They should make the second prize a million bucks.  Several state lotteries have odds roughly equal to that of  MM's second prize and they pay out over a million dollars.  I believe Md's pays over a million for the same odds.
