Quite a jump. Hasn't jumped 15 million at this level for a long time. Maybe if it gets past the 100 millon level it could really take off.

I was expecting the Mega Millions lottery to have set some new records by now. It is close though with the $88 million jackpot after 9 rolls. The current record is $90 million for Mega Millions after 9 rolls. The Powerball record is $86.3 million.

    Good luck,
    Jake

HAHA! Now that's the jump I've been looking for!  I was getting a bit worried with the 53-63-73m jackpots.

If noone wins friday night, the Jackpot will probably jump to 106 million. I think it will really start going crazy when it gets over a hundred million, at least the first few times till the people from California get used to the larger jackpots. When the California super lotto got over a hundred million it would jump over 30 million just by instate purchases.

The big test will be if it takes 3 or 4 drawings to go from 100 to 199 million.

i wonder if with the increased odds, we'll finally see a jackpot reaching the half a billion mark.
specially with cali, i bet we can get there in about a month if no one keeps winning.

I wouldn't worry about it.  Looks like it will hit MS or AL coast.

Looks like it's about time to travel to GA for a ticket or two.

How are you going to win if you don't play?

Yep, that is very possible.  There's a good chance this run may go to at least $300 million.

                          visiondude,

According to my stats, the jackpot may be over $315 million on July 29. This requires 6 more rollovers of the jackpot.

                          Good luck,
                          Jake

We still dont know how California will react and how it will affect sales when the jackpot is above $100 million, $200 million or $300 million.  I'm gonna say if it rolls for 6 more times the jackpot will be very close to $400 million if not over.

                              twisted,

My estimate tried to account for California sales. The current 15 roll record is $294 million. I estimate the record will be exceeded by about $30 million giving a 15 roll estimate of $324 million. This is keeping in mind that the current jackpot progression is tracking less than the current roll records and California has been buy tickets for 5 draws.

                              Good luck,
                              Jake
