my wife may be facing the same thing soon with her dad. she is incredibly close to her dad and i know it will hurt her to not be able to talk to/see her dad. (as it should)
i contemplated that and it caused me to come to a conclusion on the matter. i thought that the only way a person could find any semblence of comfort/answers/peace for this arena of life, they would have to understand what happens to a person when they pass on, and what happens to the person who is left behind. if they could eventually sift pass their emotions and grasp the truth of the matter, then true peace is possible.
well it is a slam dunk as to what happens to a person who leaves this earth. they go into the presence of God .....and in the presence of God, there is ONLY fullllllllllllllllllness of joy. no more sorrow. no more hassles that come with this life. no more missing by just one number (jk)
but us, we still have to press on until the time that we are re-united. it is within that hope of re-uniting, that we find peace. it is a daily walk with the God of assurances that we find peace / answers.
it is within these two applications, that you will find peace.
one thing i told my wife that seemed to click with her, was that when her dad passed away, he was merely going on to an extended vacation. and that SOMEDAY, she was going where he was. she would see him again (though not for awhile). that seemed to resonate with her. i hope it does with you.
just a sidenote. i always thought it was strange how people say the term(s) "sorry you lost your ....". well that would be the case if you "lose" something. but the truth of the matter is that your mother is not "lost". God knows EXACTLY where she is, and you are waiting until you meet her where she is.
my prayers ALWAYS .......
"i am .........."meant to"
P.S., that RJoH is a stand up guy. thanks, vision
until further notice, it's france everyday
