Greetings!

I was just brainstorming a while ago and this idea popped into my mind.  Wouldn't it be rather cool to put together a Lottery Post convention where we could all get together, share system ideas in person and possibly see first hand how other folks are obtaining their numbers on a daily basis?  I am not sure of what type of reception this would get, and I don't know if this has been proposed before, but I think that it would be pretty awesome to attend a convention like this to get first hand info from other folks here.  The possibilities of folks from here holding seminar sessions on their Pick 3, Pick 4 or Pick 5 methods would be fabulous.  Sponsors for the event could come from LP's sponsors, folks trying to sell their different lottery software and other lottery-related entities with a registration fee coming from all attendees.

The reason that this idea popped into my head was from seeing the following things pop up on this site constantly:

1.  A convention would be a great way for people to get together a form lottery clubs in which they could increase their chances at winning Powerball or Mega Miliions jackpots.  You would be able to meet with others in person, form a group of like people and then purchase jackpot tickets in volume, thus increasing your chances of winning a jackpot lottery.

2.  A convention would offer those trying to "hock" their lottery software on this site (WHICH NO ONE SHOULD BE DOING) the chance to "hocK" their software in person while trying to explain how it works through a seminar, etc.

3.  A convention would offer folks first hand knowledge of various prediction systems through seminars given by their various creators.  I would totally enjoy this because so many people here have been asking me personally how my system works and I can tell that they just don't get it at all.  I also know that some folks learn better with first-hand/hands-on examples/study/presentation than from trying to get the concept from reading.  From a seminar presentation, folks could get first-hand knowledge a different systems while being able to ask questions regarding the systems and getting direct feedback from the system creators.

4.  A convention could offer folks the ability to sign up with certain lottery web sites where they could play the lottery online.  Folks could sign up in person without having to go through all sorts of verification procedures over the phone.  Folks could avoid the hassles experienced when trying to sign up for one of these sites through PayPal or NetTeller or any of the various vehicles used to set up an account if these  web sites set up boothes for this at the convention.

Many other things could take place at the convention but those listed above were some of the ideas that came to mind.

A Lottery Post Convention would be great!  However, I know what it takes to put together a convention and it's no fun if you don't have help.  Several folks from this web site would have to step forward to help put it together.  On the other hand, if folks did come togehter to volunteer, a Lottery Post Convention would be quite awesome and would help a lot of people in their individual quests of obtaining a higher winning percentage in their daily lottery plays.

Just brainstorming here.  Let me know what you think.

Good Luck,

John

Can I set up my booth selling lottery systems that no one else wants to buy? Like a Lottery Post Flea Market.

      Books, Tapes, shirts etc.??

I vote for Vegas for our first convention!!

When the convention is over we can all drop our losing lottery tickets like confetti.

      Sign me up!!

Sounds great to me!  Where do you think the best location would be?

Actually, for those interested, a Lottery convention is being held in Singapore this October 15 ( http://quickstart.clari.net/qs_se/webnews/wed/dp/Qsingapore-lottery.R8ta_DOF.html )

Also, for those interested, check this site out http://www.world-lotteries.org/ for the World Lottery Association.

I vote for Las Vegas. Only 300 miles from Escondido to LV. Besides Gail Howard lives and works there. I am sure I can get her to do a seminar. I vote for Todd as Lottery President.

Actually, this page is probably more suitable:

                http://www.naspl.org/calendar.html

Check the State Lottery Report Card
What grade did your lottery earn?

                      Atomic Dog,

                      http://www.lotterypost.com/thread/103104

This was a thread which explored the idea of a lottery players' convention. It offered some interesting feedback until it degenerated into some off-topic debates. So much for netiquette...lol. I hope you can find some useful information in its earlier posts.

Thinking of...If LP members have a convention, I think it should be held in the state/city of the most LP members and let the members from that city hold it.

A liaison can be assigned for each city.  If there are enough people in one city, they can get discount plane/bus/hotel tickets and travel together.  Maybe there will be people who will be hospitable to accommodation LP member or stay with friends or relatives.

Of course for all of this to happen, there should be some type of fee to cover cost of organizing the event and that means assigning a treasurer, a president, vice president, etc., travel committee, secretary, etc.

You would have to make sure that the day that is choosen is not on the same day as other conventions in that city to secure hotel accommadations.

We can have presenters and demonstrations and it can be a lot of fun.

                        It's doable.

                          Seems a bit premature.

Also, it would probably be better to have it near a geocentric location based on LP member location distribution.

U.S. or North America LP locations for obvious reasons.

If not, well, good luck with that.

I recommend having it in North Korea. They have the biggest annual coventions.
