Look at the left hand side of this website. There is a link to 5 Lottery games. MegaMillions is one of them.

Drive right over the border to a state that sells the lottery tickets you want.  Lots of people do that.    You can make it a fun road trip!

Yep, if you can afford it just cross the border. Many people do. Or you can buy tickets from Prime Ticket Services.

If tax is an issue for $310M/$182M, you have issues.

Bluekat, I would suggest you buy your tickets in Texas because Texas has no state taxes and is closer than Georgia. Georgia does have sales tax that is added after people choose annunity or cash. Every state has federal tax no matter who wins jackpot.

I drive to other states to buy my MM tickets. Heck I just went to New Jersey today and bought my 25 bucks worth. I was heading that way today anyway, so I drove an extra 15 miles to get to the NJ state-line! NJ has no state tax on the lottery winnings! I make most of my runs to Maryland (20 miles each way) which has a state tax of 5% on the winnings of out of state players. I don't run that often to NJ, because it's 45 miles one-way and to make that trip twice a week would be a lot of gas money that could be put towards to buying more tickets. Big Smile

Keep dreaming the impossible dream, it just may come true! Thumbs Up

There are services that sell them online, but be careful. There are some that aren't on the up and up, including one which will cap your winnings no matter how high the jackpot is. If you're in Louisiana and you want a MegaMillions ticket that badly, I'd get up early one morning on your day off, and drive to the Texas line.

                    Good luck.

I've been meaning to ask about MM online.  I've played twice.  (won both times!  whew hoo)  But how does it really work if someone plays online and wins the jackpot?  With Prime Ticket, they put your itty bitty winnings in an account.  It says if you win the jackpot than they'll claim it for you and wire the money to you.  Does Todd control this feature?  (I don't know the man, but he seems like a honest one)  Where are the tickets bought?

Any information you can give me, I'd appreciate it!

Have you read the PTS FAQ page?  Most answers are there.  The rest can be answered by them through a form.  Always go to the source for information.

                        Cheers

No, I don't control that website.  As I had posted a few times here at Lottery Post, I found them through an extensive search that I did after betslips went out of business.  I researched all the normal sites that come up with Google searches, and found that most of the ones that come up are either complete scams or run by one guy who is doing things in such a way that if you were to win, your entry may not be valid.  Some places don't even buy the tickets that they claim to.

As a result of my research, I found that PTS is an excellent place with a quality service.  Thus, I feel confident in recommending them.  When I let them know that I would be recommending their service, they allowed me to link to them as an affiliate, so they're paying for the ad space here.  All around, I think there is benefit for everyone in this arrangement.

If you have questions about their service, you need to contact them directly.  I am not their spokesperson, and I won't speak for them.  Just like if you have a question about the Amazon.com ads here, you should contact Amazon if you have questions about buying books there, not me.

By the way, maybe you can point out where they mention anything about wiring money to you.  I don't see that mentioned anywhere on their website.  When I read it, it says that they hand you the winning ticket.  Can you post the link where it says anything about wiring money to you?

I'm looking for the PT faq page now.

                            Thanks for the help!
